Re: Fat mat who has it....
I just put in Dynamat on the floor of my burb, they are pretty close in comparison I think.
Trick is to do it on a hot sunny day, it will make it more flexible to form. I plan on installing more of the stuff, but it is so expensive I can only afford to do a section at a time.

Re: Fat mat who has it....
I have used it in a couple of installs. It works great on the floors but on a vertical suface if does stick so great. I could be because it was not cleaned good enough i did clean the panel. I would buy it again.

Re: Fat mat who has it....
I used it on my cab floor and it worked great. Probably would have even gone on even easier if I didn't do it when the garage was 50 degrees, but it went on fine.

Re: Fat mat who has it....
I used it on my square body as well, worked fine and went on really easy.

Re: Fat mat who has it....
I put Fat mat in my 94 swb and it is not that hard at all. The key is to spend your time getting the surface as clean as possible. It killed alot of road noise.

Re: Fat mat who has it....
Can FatMat or DynaMat be used under the hood?? Would it help reduce noise?
Sorry for resurrecting an old post.

Re: Fat mat who has it....
I think they both sell stuff specifically for the engine compartment.

Re: Fat mat who has it....
I used it on the floor and sides of my Blazer before installing carpet and side panels. Very easy to install and really reduced road/exhaust noise. I don't think it would work well in the engine compartment. When it gets warm/hot the tar backing gets soft and it may peel off the underside of your hood under its own weight. There are other products for the engine compartment.

Re: Fat mat who has it....
I put in the interior and under the hood. However, I've only driven it a couple short trips, but it seems to be quieter. I'm happy with it.

Re: Fat mat who has it....
I used it on my floors and doors of my Challenger. Someone on the mopar board told me that he installed it on his roof and in the heat it came unglued and fell onto his headliner. If it isn't warm where you are, then use a small heater in the cab to warm the mat and a hairdryer when rolling it on the floorboards
