i am getting 1982 pick up and i wanna find a big block for it, and you tell what kind of engine it has by the vin?

big block motor do you want to run fuel injection or carb

but TBI or carb? pretty much ANY chevy big block will work, just depends on how u want to run the fuel system

ok i went to look at this truck it actually an 1982 siverrado, and the sticker under the hood says its has a 5.0 engine in it, is that 305?
