Re: AD vs EZ SWAP
go with the ez kit it includes everything. the ad kit comes out to be more after you buy everything else to go with the kit. the ez kit uses verything possible off the s10 to save you some more dough in the long run. i have the ad kit and would go with the ez kit if i had to do it all over again.

Re: AD vs EZ SWAP
So with the AD kit what extra parts do you need to purchase besides the tranny crossmember?

Re: AD vs EZ SWAP
motor mounts, steering linkage depending on the column u use, lower rad replacement brace, hardware, find a brake pedal and bracket, do i need to go on. i had to fab or scrounge a lot to get the other stuff i needed. i modified the s10 wiring to work in my truck to save some money. the ez kit is worth the price it is well enginered and i talked with the owner and he is very nice and know his stuff. an will help you with any questions you have. just go on the two sites and look at the two kits and decide for yourself.
www.e-zchassisswaps.com www.ad-engineering.com i not knocking the ad kit it is good if you don't want to use all the stuff of your doner s10 that you can,but it is up to you the builder to decide the best route. like i said befor if i had to do it over again i would go with the ez kit. thats just me though.

Re: AD vs EZ SWAP
I used the AD kit and found it very easy and I used everything from the s10. I used the booster and brake pedal mounting bracket from the s10. If you have any mechanical skills you can make the s10 stuff work. I also used the wiring from the s10 and computer. I didnt even move my engine since i had a nice running 4.3 liter in it. I also like the design of the ad kit better by reading both the sites. I looked at both before I purchased and the AD kit in 600 to 700 cheaper now if I remember. The kit would be simple to make also if you look up some of the swaps on here you can get dimensions for the brackets and send them you a local machine shop and come out even cheaper. my 2 cents

seems loke you would have to move it back. I ask because my motor is out and the frame is bare now and it would be much easier to move it back now.

Re: AD vs EZ SWAP
why buy a kit at all? the people i talked to were sure having buyers remorse. there is so much info floating around about AD to s10 swap you could make the brackets yourself.

Re: AD vs EZ SWAP
I would have if I could have found this site before I bought them. I searched internet for weeks trying to find specs on brackets with no avail. But After I bought I found this site and its everywhere. Just my luck

Re: AD vs EZ SWAP
I have a question for the AD guys. How high is the top bracket/plate off the frame not including the s10 spacers? The reason I ask is I found a truck that I like the stance of and want to copy it as much as possible, and they used the AD kit. I'm going to be copying jeffs51's design making the front 3.5" off the frame and the rear 3.75" off the frame. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...1&postcount=80
