Unhappy Truck got hit once again

This morning my parents went to church and i stayed home sleeping, then they get home and my dad comes up to my room and says a i backed into your truck. I just figured he was trying to get me out of bed but he sounded kinda sad so I wasn't sure. So I got up and looked and he went straight into the front and messed up my new grill shell and billet grill I got from Tri-Pro(the one my sister got me for her backing into it), and my hood is messed up

And last night I entered my truck into my first car show, it was the Okie Twist Off 3 ( its a big rat rod show)
The show was right on the 39th street(That's where everyone cruises on sat. night) So after the show me and my friends went and cruised, And my Cousin and my sister showed up in my aunts brand new Challenger with a hemi. You know what that means, we got a open spot on the light and raced(I won ) and I look behind me and see cop lights!
So I got my first ticket that I actually have to pay. I have got quite a few but got out of them because they liked my truck.
So I had my first car show, first ticket(Competition of speed), and my truck got hit again the day after

That sucks, sorry to hear that. Watch out for getting tickets, they'll jack your insurance rate up.

$800-1000 around here steep fines get the word out real quick to the idiots that race on the road where familys drive instead of at the track where it belongs

I was, a guy i knew got a street racing ticket and he totally deserved it, drove like an ass all the time. I have a wife and kids now and i wish the fines were higher. There is no excuse for it on the streets how would you feel if your family was out and got hit by him " being young" and got hurt or killed?

Here in Ca they are more strick then a DUI you get more weekend work then a dui because of the fines they add up quick... and yes you get taken to jail for it and your car gets impounded for 30days..... and thats not all plus you get to wake up early every weekend to help Cal Trans clean the side of the roads for a couple of months.. Oh and yes court fees plus fines it adds up even more the second time it almost doubles.... Ask me how I know, Ok I will tell you I am still paying my second one it was over $4000 I still owe like $1200 or less.. But yes the Insurance will get you....Oh and dont forget after you are done with your weekends expect another bill for the work you did oh yes they charge you a certain amount a day for working a guess it's for looking after you.....

Re: Truck got hit once again

It's cheaper to pay a lawyer in the long run, they can usually get them reduced to defective equitment. No points on your license no rate increase on your insurance

Re: Truck got hit once again

They consider it careless driving around here and it's 4 points on your license. Plus they've had some people get killed so the judges get pissed and throw the book at you. Get a lawyer!!!

Hate to say it....but I think you should have gone to Church. See if you can take Defensive Driving and get the ticket off. I have done it twice in my lifetime.

Defensive Driving is not allowed on COS tickets nor any ticket greater than 20mph over the posted speed limit of where the citation was issued in TX. Check your local laws. Don't street race.

Re: Truck got hit once again

Get a lawyer dude. Thats the advice I got in the '90's when I got 4 tickets in a very short time. I spent 100 bucks and he got me out of 3 of them. The 4th was reduced to 75. None of it went on my record as part of the deal was I keep my nose clean for 2 years. Lesson learned. Good luck to ya.

Re: Truck got hit once again

Allen, you are not having good luck with your truck as of recently.

Good luck getting this figured out and keep us posted on what happens!

Sorry about your ride dude... As far as the ticket... pay it and consider it a lesson learned. Drag racing should be done at the track, not on the streets. A couple of years ago here in Tucson a guy was drag racing down Broadway and slammed into a guy riding his bike. He went through the windshield and his head got cut off from his body and landed in the lap of the passenger. He driver ran (left his car there) home and blew his brains out. Just be glad you didn't hit anyone or anything. Things happen fast at those speeds... (story: http://www.jekylhyderacing.com/sr020204.htm)

Re: Truck got hit once again

I wasnt like street racing like fast and the furious it was a simple little drag from 0 to about 50 in a 40, and i know a simple little race like that can hurt somebody but im not stupid enough to be going 100+ weaving in and out of traffic.

And OldBlue yeah it was a hemi and my dad is going to fix it

I didn't mean to make it sound like I was picking on you personally. Allot of different people read these posts and we just don't want to give any kind of impression that we condone these things outside of thier proper place.

Keep us posted on getting your truck fixed... again...

I just noticed your quote under your user name... "It'll buff out" I tell my customers that all the time!

Lol nah its cool man, I wasnt really meaning that towards you and understand your point very well. I was just kinda aiming it at someone else who was being a little more harsh about it calling us "Idiots" and I do know what he's talking about I know a few people who have been killed my idiots like that. And its more of a age kind of thing we will outgrow it and look back at how unsafe it is, but we're teenage boys pumping test trying to show off for the girls
