What can you buy for $150,000? Look here to see...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1971-...=p4506.c0.m245
Found this while trolling ebay. If I had some extra time off, I may go look at it just for kicks and giggles. It's only about 100 miles from me. First thing I noticed was the "show deck" wood floor. If you are asking 150 grand for a a truck that could have come with a wood floor to begin with, why not put a wood floor in it? Don't get me wrong it looks to be a beautiful truck, but for that kind of coin it had better have a gold plated engine. Even then it's too rich for my blood.

Re: What can you buy for $150,000? Look here to see...
Holy crap! He must have seen that other guy trying to sell his truck for 100K. Now I know the economy is getting better if people think that our trucks are worth so much and some people have that much money sitting around with nothing else better to do with it.
Don't get me wrong, but I cannot imagine that you could ever do ANYTHING to our trucks that would make them worth so much. At best 30-50K, and that would be for a truck in MUCH nicer shape than the ones I have seen so far. I'm not saying you couldn't INVEST that much in our trucks, but you will never get it back out, ever! If there are any interested people looking, I will be happy to sell my stepper for the super low price of 50K! A bargan! Serious offers of 30-45K will be considered. D

My guess is, based on previous eBay auctions on trucks of that quality... 18-25K tops. But will likely end 14-16K.

Re: What can you buy for $150,000? Look here to see...
that's laughable... I dont care if the frame is made of solid gold and the lug nuts were made of diamonds... its still not worth that. now this truck on the other hand is worth a ton but not what they are asking IMO http://www.feslerbuilt.com/1967ChevyTruck.htm

You just have to ask yourself "what are people thinking?" but judging by his choice of rolling stock, they weren't.

Okay, I don't usually nit pick, but let's say I had that kinda money to blow. The gap between the cab and bed looks like it grows from top to bottom. Also, some of the chrome doesn't line up. I'm sure the frame is super straight for only having 1000 miles so there could be a need for shims. But I don't have that kind of money, so I'll have to drool over the paint and 383 and move along

For $150k you'd think they would pay someone to proofread the ad. Plus, yellow Accel wires?
Looks like this one will stay in the family a few more generations... Britt |

"Note: I'm am putting this add togather for the owner and I am commissioned to sell this show vehicle. Please direct any questions to "ask seller a question" at the top of the page." Gotta be a decent commission!

Re: What can you buy for $150,000? Look here to see...
maybe it was a typo like the rest in the AD it was supposed to be 10k invested and selling it for 15k, or his "take for selling it" is 125k. LOL then again after ebay and paypal fees he will only bring in 25k after selling it at the BIN price... crooks.

Bidding stopped at $5,301.00. Goes to show that eBay is not the place to ask high dollar for not high dollar stuff.
