Manual Throttle Control
So I finally got around to doing something with my donor cab. (It is off of a 74 3/4 ton chevy.) And I found something interesting to me anyway, I have never seen this on another truck nor have I heard of it before. Anyone else? Is it just a choke? Does it have any other purpose?

Re: Manual Throttle Control
Those are useful if you have a PTO, like a winch or something. You can set it and leave it instead of having to keep your foot on the pedal.

Re: Manual Throttle Control
I've seen them in medium duties (C60, C70, etc.), but never in a pickup.

Re: Manual Throttle Control
Yep - it is a manual control for a PTO, and I did have one in my truck for a time and used it as a poor man's cruise...
I got it through service parts (not ordered originally on my truck).

Re: Manual Throttle Control
I've always wanted one of those... may have to incorporate that into the '78... just for kicks.

Re: Manual Throttle Control
I never really thought about it being for a PTO, since this truck didn't have one but it does make sense.

Re: Manual Throttle Control
That is an unusual option for an automatic trans equipped truck . Must have been ordered as a cruise device . That is neat but it Looks like a law suit waiting to happen in this day and age .
