What? They didn't even come with cummins in them.... That's like saying if only it had a fiberglass flip front end.

You could buy light duty GM trucks with Cummins engines in them in the 80's. You could order your new truck from the dealer with a Cummins option. The truck would be built and then shipped to a Cummins facility for the installation. It then would be shipped to your dealer for delivery.GM warranted the truck and Cummins the engine. ford did own a small % of cummins.but they had a contract with dodge to put them in there trucks thats why ford never had cummins in there trucks
