WIW: bedsides off a 68 chevy
what would a two bedsides be worth for a total price off a 68 long bed.. i bought the bed for $350 because i wanted a good floor with good crossmembers.. it only has surface rust on the floor and underside just needs blasted and a bedline on it.. anyways my dad knows a guy whose is needing bedsides.. there is no rust on the sides.. its just faded paint... you think if i asked $100 for each side is too much? or what should i ask for both of them? i plan on using the sides from my current bed since they are still good. im going to swap my sides to this new floor so i dont need the sides off 68.

Re: WIW: bedsides off a 68 chevy
Depends on the condition, but I'd pay $100 each if they had no rust problems.
How is the area right above the wheel and on the inside where the rear tubs bolt to ? That is the hard to fix area for rust. Also dents around the tailight area, especially around the outside point can be hard to fix properly if it has been hit there. Really nice ones I'd pay up to $400 for the pair, have you checked the price on new repops ?

Heck if you were closer, I would give you $150 for the drivers side.
Personally, mint condition ones, I would pay up to $200 for a single side or $300 for the pair. For me, these would have to be exactly what I needed, i.e. no trim holes, dents, rust, etc. If I have to do any welding or dent repair, the price I am willing to pay goes down. Just my opinion.

LMC Truck wants $650 apiece for repop longbed sides. I would much rather use original GM ones even if they are used!
