Reinforcing stock trailing arms

I bought CPP trailing arm reinforcement kit for '63 (weld on plates)
but got absolutely no guidance/instructions on the welding.

When I called, the kid said "don't the u bolts just hold them in place?"
Your kidding me. This is customer support?

Who out there has installed these? do you stitch weld? a short bead every few inches? how much weld is enough?

Before purchasing, you should always check the Review Forum. CPP is well known for their service (or lack thereof).

I made my own plates and stitched them every few inches with about a 1" weld. Then came back and repeated until it was completely filled.

Thanks! it does help, as guess what? CPP didn't email me today like they said they would when I called Saturday morning!

I'm beginning to like Early Classic.

Now, I'm in for a LOT of welding.
