crank pulley bolt holes stripped
i noticed my crank pulley was very wobbly. when i took off the fan and tried to tighten the three pulley bolts, they would just turn. could i rethread the bolt holes and use some new bolts?

Sorry Charlie, get a new damper and new bolts. Don't screw around here, you'll be sorry if the ballancer takes a hike out thru the rad and condenser at 5 grand. Been there.

1984 K20 350M engine with 465,000 miles. Well, it's finally done!! Almost 2 years of work, but it was really worth the effort. Yep. The balancer is cheap enough, don't take the chance on it.

You should be able to pick one up at your local GM dealer reasonably. About $50 if I remember right. It's worth a phone call anyway.
