Mag Lug nuts
hello people, i need your help
i have an old aluminum rims as in the picture. the lug size (whole size) diameter is about 17mm deep 1" i want to install them on my truck, the truck has a stock studs, front axle d60 rear axle FF, what mag size should i install |

I am not an expert but i'm pretty sure whatever size your studs are... the lug nuts you will be gettting are a normal lug but it has a cone seat on the end, and long as those wheels have a coned one on it also.

The lugnut pictured is close, but it may be a tad to long. You do have to use them with a mag shank washer which may shorten the shank enough to work with that wheel. You don't want the lug nut going through the wheel more than 7/8's of the way, but at least 3/4's of the way. If it is to long it will bottom out on the hub and the wheel won't tighten completely. And if it is to short it will not hold the wheel in a fixed position (i.e. the wheel can rotate slightly and cause major issues).
Another option, if you are deadset on using these wheels, is to buy some steel conical inserts to facilitate the use of standard acorn seat lug nuts. I have done this on a few set of older wheels that came with this old style lug hole. The wheels lugholes have to be bored to the proper size for the seats and then just press them in. Just another possibility. |

If the lug on that rim has a flat surface on the hole you need mag shanks if you know what I mean its hard to explain but if there is a cone seat you need lugs to match the cone seat
