V8 in TF mounting questions
I am test fitting my 327/th350 combo so I can finalize the mounting/location of my new ATM x-member and as it sits it is rocked back at an angle. Should the valve covers be parallel with the frame rails or should the motor sit lower in the rear. Its been so long since I have had a engine in the truck that I can't remember how it sat with the 4spd.

Re: V8 in TF mounting questions
The intake manifold carb mounting surface needs to be level, which will drop the back of the engine about 4 degrees if my memory is working right. You also need to consider if the truck will have any rake with the front angled down. If you engine is injected I don't think it is as critical as with a carberurated engine. You want to have your carb float(s) level during most driving conditions.

Re: V8 in TF mounting questions
pull the top off the air cleaner and measure level across the bottom piece, it should be parallel with the carb base, also check side to side those front mounts can get tweaked, rubber compressed, etc. I know from experience.
