pics from body shop
I went by the body shop where my truck has been living for the last few months and finally i have seen some progress. This isnt the color the truck is going to be all it is was a base coat so he can block the whole truck to spray on the imperial blue off of the 2010 camaro. he shaved the rear seem in the cab and the cargo lamp, all the holes for the mirrors, emblems and mirrors. I also had him shave my wiper cowl. Im happy to finally be able to share some pics with you guys.

Looks good man. That imperial blue will look sweet on there. I can't wait to see the cowl on the truck too. I think that will look sweet.

Re: pics from body shop
Lookin good bud. I still cant grasp why body shops have our trucks for years on end for a paint job? Either way, cant wait till you get it back and can share some more pics.

It's looking great. I had an 84 K20 that was a similar color. I really liked it.

Re: pics from body shop
thanks guys for all the comments, this forum its great i take pictures and i look forward to showing you guys pictures just as much as my friends and family. I actually think that you guys might appreciate them more, lol. here are some pics that i took this afternoon after them put the bed on the frame, its not bolted up yet but you can get an idea of what it will look like, they have wetsanded and buffed it already. Hes going to have it glazed once its put together so he expects it to have a better gloss. I just cant wait to see it with my wheels back on it, i dont like the big a$$ tires in the back.

Re: pics from body shop
sorry about the glare, it was about 6pm and the sun wasnt being picture friendly.
BTW, scootin, they welded the seam then ground it smooth and im sure they had to use a bit of body filler, he also welded in a piece of sheet metal for the cargo light. Once i have the truck in my possesion again i will take pictures of the details and mods that he did so we can all have a closer look. |

Re: pics from body shop
moneys is a little tight right now so im just going to finish it the way it was, i have a new window seal kit already so im going to be keeping the vent windows, which is my next nightmare, of putting the seals on the vents. I have all new bumpers front and rear, new grill, windshield, and one piece rear glass. I also have almost all of the trim new in the garage i cant wait to start pieceing it together.
