Re: Cruise control on ebay?
I think one or both of us need to be a paying member before this transaction continues. I will check one of my service manuals for info on this.
Yeah, It was just kinda sucky. I watched the thing all week and made damn sure I was home for the end. If it is some one on here, I just wanted some of the GM part numbers and other info that might be with it.

Re: Cruise control on ebay?
Nah, seriously, wasn't me. I do hate it when that happens though. On stuff that was rare, that I wanted real bad, I waited till the last 30 seconds, even if I was still high bidder, and made a huge last second bid to wipe out all the snipers. Win some, lose some.

Re: Cruise control on ebay?
Ditch the vacuum stuff. Install a Rostra unit. www.rostra.com. I bought one before they created an all electronic version. The vacuum version works great. It will kick down my 700R4 and accellerate if necessary. Vacuum is important. Lucky for my me, the ZZ4 has plenty of vacuum.

Re: Cruise control on ebay?
My 78 had remains of the factory cruise control that had been partially removed. The system is pretty bulky. I would much rather have one of the aftermarket setups.

Re: Cruise control on ebay?
I'm looking through a '86 Service manual and It does not show the servo on the drivers fender like the older trucks. It shows a vacuum servo on the top if the intake, a vac. ball mounted on the firewall, and a module mounted under the dash, just like the ebay one. The '86 book also shows a multifunction lever with the cruise and wipers.
