brakes question

yesterday i was cruising at about 45 and i SMASHED my brakes and slid off the road to avoid hitting a dumb blonde in a civic who pulled out in front of me while talking on her cell phone.. well ever since my brakes are funny the pedal will go down half way and then get real hard. the first half of the pedal is real soft and does nothing but then gets real hard. i checked for leaks but found nothing when i push the pedal, bubbles come out from the back bay of the master cylinder (front brakes). but theres no hole in the lines. could i have blew something in the master cylinder? orr?

Re: brakes question

yes you could have blown the master cylinder if it was weak to begin with... Id also pull the wheels and check to make sure the brakes are fully engaging and releasing... the larger section is the fronts if im not mistaken on most of them its the front section for the front and read smaller section for the rear
