Just to let you know, it won't fit '77-up if it has the inside hood release. There's not enough room for the safety catch lever.

Re: NOS 75-76 Chevrolet grill

Is this a original GM NOS? I have a 76 Cheyenne and the grill looks like this, but there are like these stainless steel pieces going across laid over the plastic. I was just wondering, because I am looking for an original GM grill.

Thanks,
Carl

It is indeed a GM grill, it is still in the GM box (well, removed for the photos). There are no ss strips on it...I am sure there were at least two different grills for the different trim levels.

Re: NOS 75-76 Chevrolet grill

The Silverado grille used the bolt on yellow bowtie/chrome emblem with the bolt on stainless pieces across the two horizontal bars. You can still get that oem deluxe bowtie from GM and I would bet that aluminum bowtie decal is worth every bit as much as the deluxe bowtie emblem will cost. It would be worth carefully removing as it should fit 73-76 grilles. Mark

Re: NOS 75-76 Chevrolet grill

Actually, the grill emblem is a different size in the '73-'74 grills. '75-up is the same size. I had bought a brand new '73-'74 stick-on emblem and found out it was much larger in those years. The later bolt-on emblem is still available new.

Now as for the stainless trim, does it just bolt to the standard grill like in the '77-'79 model years? If so, the trim could just be transfered over to the new grill.
