On the rear. It is stock height, its level, but looks almost like a 4 inch block is between the rear leaf pack and the axle pad.

Wasn't sure and figured I'd ask as I am new to the truck and have found LOTS of parts put together from other trucks on mine. LOL

My 1/2 ton didn't have any blocks...is yours 3/4 ton?...not sure if they are different...

I`ve seen one inch blocks,bolted through...never seen 4" other than pre-78 F250s.

It kind of sounds like a 2wd frame that has been converted to 4wd. The 2wd leaf frames sit lower than the 4wd so someone may have added the blocks to make up the height difference when/if it was converted.

Well, there doesn't seem to be any other out of place stuff to my untrained eye. I don't think this was a conversion. It's way too spot on with everything else...t-case is right, cross members are right, BOM number on the d44 up front fits, heck even the faded out pitted potmetal badging matches up.

I am becoming convinced that I just have a very odd truck.

Do you have any pics.
I know 60-66 have a factory 4 inc rear steel block.
I also had a 69 3/4 4x4 that had a factory steel 2 inch block and I have also seen 4x4 spring pads that are taller than a 2wd spring pads, I am also vision impaired.

Maybe he meant the 4 wheel drive emblem.I`d like to see your ront springs.Why do you think it doesn`t have a lift?

I'm guessing it has a 4" lift on it. All the ones I have had haven't had any blocks in stock form.

Nope. Negative Arch. It sits on 31x10.50 BFG ATs. Sits level too. I guess I'll have to try and remember to get some pics tomorrow after I get all the firewood out of it.

Got a pic on the way to the store this morning....

Keep in mind the spring is sitting flat because of the 2000lbs of firewood in the bed..........

Definitely sounds like your truck has a 4" lift on it with positive arched springs.

That's the odd thing...stock 3 leaf neg arch springs in the front. Oh well, it drives fine and has plenty of clearance for the 31's on it. I won't worry about it.

I wouldn't worry about it either. Leaf spring shops can re arch leaf springs as well. Just an FYI. I actually think these trucks look better with atleast a 4" lift and 31" or taller tire.
