Hei c
For my 66's 327, should the HEI lead to the fuse box be unfused or should I use an inline fuse? There are two spades on my fuse box that are labled ''ign-unfused''.

Re: Hei c
Ign-unfused means it is hot when the ignition is on and there is not fuse protection, so this has nothing to do with the actual ignition/hei. There are two leads/connectors on an HEI, one for the hot lead and one for the tach. The hot lead should attach to a fused connector on the fuse block. I can't remember where I connected mine, but I will check and you will definitely get some input from fellow members. You may also post this in the electrical forum, for many replies. Good luck.

Re: Hei c
What I've done is trace the original ignition wire (the one that went to the coil) all the way back to the ignition switch. I then replaced that with a 12ga wire all the way to the distributor. The factory typically used a pink colored wire for this. You need to be sure that you have a full 12 volts to the HEI.
