which one the 9:1 with hydro roller or the 12:1 with mech. roller?

I would take either..but would go lower cr so more streetable on low octane fuel

Nice, but damn, who needs something like that in a truck? You'll not get one of those for 6 grand. Better start thinking closer to 10.
Did you notice the carb? Can we say you will be lucky to get 4 or 5 mpg?

I wish I had the 9.2:1 for sure over the race one. Heck add a 100 shot of NOS then you got teh same HP but torque is close and still running 92 octane. I agree I bet $8-10K each easy!!! Wonder if I can get the VW sold, buy a burb and place ZZ4 in the burb then get the ZZ572 in my truck Now where did I leave that winning lotto ticket at?

For anyone who's curious about the cost of the 12:1 cr 572 CID 720 horsepower big block, check out Reher - Morrison Racing Engines web site, click on the "Super Series 509" on the left side navigation bar, and check their price.
Granted, the R-M 509 puts out 805 horsepower from a smaller engine so therefore will have more "race" parts, it'll give you an idea about how much we drag racers will spend! DJS In case you can't/don't want to check out R-M, their price is $11,995.00 delivered. |

I'm not sure where I heard it (might have been on Trucks TV), but I believe the 572 will go for around 14K. That's alot of dough.

Did you guys check out the specs on that 12:1 motor? The .050 cam specs are MASSIVE. Dont expect to get your vehicle moving if the revs are under 2000rpm with that thing. Thats a race only motor. For the cash, anyone of you guys could build a bigger, badder, more powerfull motor.
