Midas-good and bad(My headers are on)

went to midas today to have them bend some pipes for my truck today.called one on the phone to see if they can do it and guy says come on it and we get ya taken care of....ok no problem...go down there...he said it would be a 2 hr wait...fine ok ill walk to the store next door and go get something to eat to kill some time....then he asks what i need done...i said two small bends in the exhaust by my header collectors to raise it back up towards the end of the truck so it doesnt drag on the ground...he says wait we dont have anyone here who can bend exhaust......im thinking WTF...how do you not ****en have someone at an EXHAUST shop who knows how to bend exhaust....thats like not having an engine builder at an engine shop....so i ask is there one around here who does...he calls the one in the area who does and i say ok bye...go to the other midas.......im out of there in one hour with my new exhaust system.....so now my truck doesnt sound so terrible and i added new plugs and wires so its running 10 times better now.....now for the rest of the fine tuning on it and she will be a running sombich.....just wanted to share with you all....now im one step closer to getting out of this god forsaken hellhole known as vegas.

Midas sucks. Everytime I've ever been to the place, I come out mad as all get out. I hate dealing with dumbasses.

I had a MIDAS experience myself today. A long time ago I had Midas mufflers put on my truck. The lifetime warranty ones because I am going to own this truck forever. After getting my truck bagged I needed some exhaust work done so I took it back to Midas. I asked the guy how long and he said he was about two hours behind. So I go get some lunch and come back in about an hour and a half. My truck is done and there is no charge. I am pretty happy with my Midas guys!

Brad, you better give them guys a Christmas card next year. You are extremely lucky. At least from my experience with them.

I also hate Midas. They are, as Mike put it, dumbasses. They tried to charge my mom $800 and something dollars for some brake work. We took the truck down the street to Brake Stop. They put it on the lift and went through ever part he felt needed fixing or replacing. And told the price as he went and described why and what. We told him what we wanted done and it got down for about $400 somthing. It was alot of work, I just cant remember everything done.

Plus they stripped the studs (6) for the wheels with their impact and also funked up my rims. I didnt find out till later.

Point is DONT GO TO MIDAS!!................. again

ill be moving back to phoenix...i just lost my job here last week and im sick of vegas.actually the second midas all in all wasnt bad.work was done in an hour and met a couple cute girls in the lobby while waiting and the counter clerk was flirting with me too so it was kinda cool.with midas it is hit or miss but they did the initial pipe bending on saturday and i went back to them to fix my error and they were cool as hell.the tech guy there even let me into the shop to explain to them what i wanted done.i called meinke and the guy there was an a**hole so i said hell no ill go with midas.dont worry tom i wont run out of gas this time and yes we will be having a meet up of the phoenix guys

One more reason why I like the small town guys. They're doing it for a living. Not just earning a paycheck. The guy who did mine charged me $125 for labor and piping. I can't complain one bit. Smokie55 got his as well there and the guy made true dual exhaust with an H pipe on a 83 blazer underframe and transfer case. This guy is one of a kind
