Re: size counts

Basically yes....they are pretty much the same size whether long bed or short, but they are different style sheet metal. '67 was the first year for that body style.

Re: size counts

All '60-'66 Chevy/GMC trucks had wood slats and steel wear strips. Starting in '67, steel bed floors were an option. Capacity was nearly exactly the same cubic feet between the years.

Are you talking about a real cloth/naugahyde toneau cover, or a hard cover? If you're interested in a hard cover Gaylord makes one specific to the 60-66 models. I had one on my short stepside for a number of years, in fact there's a picture of it on their website under the short stepside link. Here's a link to the fleetside version:

Re: size counts

I don't think any of the tonneau covers will fit the '60-'66 Chevy/GMC trucks, as far as I know, even though the overall bed dimensions are close to the same. I made one, in the past, because I couldn't find one that fit, very good.

Let us know if you find one that fits reasonably well.

Re: size counts

Nice link. Thanks for sharing.

Tonneau covers have come along way since 1981, when I made my first one for my '65 Chevy C10 lwb fleetside.
