Re: nv4500 with np 205
Be cheaper and easier to get a GM 4500. You will need a bellhousing off a 96-up 4500, change the input shaft and rear output shaft. Rear I guess you could leave it and run a Dodge 205.
A divorced case is one that doesn't bolt to a tranny, it's a seperate mount. Uses a short driveshaft between the two. Nice thing about using one of these is the availability of 2wd tranny's over 4wd's. I'm using a 4500 and divorced Ford 205 in my 89 crew build.

Go with the 465. I have one in my truck and really like it. 454 4-speed 205, 4.10s and 35s. Goes down the road great, still cruise on the highway, don't even need first gear. Pretty much as long as you have some type of slippery liquid in there it won't go bad.

I think that you will need an advanced adapter kit for that setup (not cheap). Find a truck with the same wheelbase and pull the entire drivetrain so that you get the proper length driveshafts too...

Re: nv4500 with np 205
You can just shorten the rear shaft, that's what I did.
As for R's, 2755 doing 70. Cool site for MPH for gears, tires, etc. http://www.4lo.com/calc/gearratio.htm

Re: nv4500 with np 205
Contrary to what people think, the 205 is NOT a direct bolt together for the 4500. The inner range rod (front hi-lo?) will hit the tailhousing and still be 1.50" apart. You have to have a custom spacer in between or an AA tailhousing and plate to bolt them together. I'm smack in the middle of that very problem now.
