I have been looking for a 82-87 chevy crew cab 4x4 for years now with little luck. When I do find one, its either all rusted out or way too high in price. I was out bid a few years ago on ebay motors on an ex-air force model. It was an ex-airforce 86 chevy crew cab 4x4. I found 88 chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 suburban which was also ex-air force. painted air force blue with data plate on passenger door. It had manual door locks/windows, TBI 350, th400 auto and had no rust at all! I bought it on ebay with the buy-it now button. Drove all the way to New jersey form Tennessee to get it. I figured I would never find the air force crew cab I wanted, so this would have to do. I installed CUCV front brush guard/bumper, rear bumper, grill with blackout drive light ect. all from donor 86 cucv truck. painted CARC desert tan, Stockton 16.5 military wheels, 37 in Hummwv tires, 3 inch lift. It looks good, just needs a little finishing on interior.
