Vacuum System Questions
I am wondering if there is a way to bypass the Thermostatic Vacuum Switch? I am on a very tight budget (don't make me embarass myself by telling you how tight!). This part is around $20 @ NAPA, and I will need to buy a special socket in order to not break the plastic nipples on the part. I am needing this truck for 2-3 days a week to make some extra cash, at which time I can get the part and socket. I don't feel the truck, a C30 w/454 and TH400, has any power when pulling my gooseneck (work trailer). Any suggestions would be appreciated. And, while I am at it, here are some pics.
Thanks, Robert |

Re: Vacuum System Questions
I don't think the TVS is your problem unless you have a vacuum leak, you can plug the line coming from the engine to the valve and just bypass the system altogether and see what happens
