Re: 4 link !
They call that a 4-bar suspension to keep it distinguished from a drag car 4-link.
The 4-bars are common hot rod stuff so I would do some searching for hot rod parts vendors.

Re: 4 link !
The difference is the 4-bar has no alternative mounting points for the four equal size bars and they are parallel with each other and the driveshaft plus it uses a panhard bar to locate the rear end side to side. Really simple to install and set up.
The drag car 4-link uses different length bars top & bottom and each bar mounting point has several alternative locations so you can change the characteristics of the suspension system. It is also located side to side with a diagonal link that is connected from the front on one side to the rear on the other. It does not allow for much body roll at all. There is a version of the 4-bar called a triangulated 4-link that uses angled upper & lower bars that point inward at the front in different locations top & bottom that does not need a panhard bar. This is what GM used from 64 to 88 on A-body & G-body Chevelle & Monte Carlos and all their clones plus a few other cars. Quite a bit of chassis engineering math involved in setting it up to work well but when done right it is very nice.

What exactly are your plans for using this truck? A drag race 4-link package like that with all spherical rod ends will not last long on the street and is kind of noisy. If this is meant to be a street truck I would go with something that has polyurethane rod ends and not spherical bearings. If you are going to run that 9" rear end then a triangulated 4-link like is on pg 14 of the KP Components catalog will work great. Add in a set of coil over shocks like on pg 33 of the VariShock catalog and you are set. About $940 but well worth it to have poly bushings instead of spherical bearings.

Re: 4 link !
It wouldn't be any big deal to put it all on the inside of the frame rail. It would just need some boxing of the frame rails in the mount point areas to give you somewhere to bolt it up. A simple rectangular tube crossmember could take care of this too. A generic application hot rod parts package would probably do it this way.

Re: 4 link !
the reason the drag race kits have adjustable holes in them is to adjust for track conditions. you can also change the instant center oin the car so it will hook better. either kit will work but the adjustable one is better. a little harder to setup but not much. are you going to drag race this thing or just street drive it?

Re: 4 link !
What about that KP 4link system? I had looked into it a while back. They have a bolt on setup for our trucks and I'm sure you could modify them to fit inside the frame. I don't have the link anymore, but I'm sure somebody around here has heard of it or looked into it.

Re: 4 link !
Those look like non-adjustable coil over shock mounts on the back.

How big is a big tire to you? You can run a 325/50-15 drag radial on a stock truck arm suspension with a lot of clearance. I ran them on my 67 C-10. My 78 K20 has 16" between the leaf and the inside edge of the fender lip so there is enough room for a 14" wide, tall sidewall tire with some room for sidewall flex without damage to the tire even with the truck in the weeds.

Re: 4 link !
If you like this setup and want the bars on the inside, just swap the front brackets so the origninal left front bracket is on the inside of the right framrail and vise-versa. Just box in the frame rail (after you weld the nuts on the backsides of the holes)and weld the bars inside the fraimrail. If your lower shock mounts are too close then you could weld in new lower mounts if it is a problem.
