Its Aliveeeeeee!!!!

first time the trucks moved under its own power scince she burnt.
still alot to do, the carb needs alot of adjusting and the brakes need to be gone over. also i have no tailights,but i do have brakelights lol. alot of work still left to do, but its offically a running driving truck and i only have around $1800 into her. not bad for a cheap wheeler if u ask me

it poured all day and my house doesnt have a garage....so we improvised

just finish putting the interior back together and workin and get all the mechanicals 100% straightend out. should have it on the road by the end of the week

i bought the truck burnt, and i had to replace all the wiring in the truck, i also replaced the intake,carb and valve covers.i still have to find a few parts for the interior and wire up a few things but i just wanted to get the truck running and driving befor i went into those details. oh and while i was wiring up the transmission i found a rust hole in the floor, so im gonna rip out the seat and floor mat and patch the floor then use that roll in bedliner for the floor since this trucks gonna see mud and lots of it

Here's what I was presented with for free:

Partially disassembled, no back window, burnt electronics, chewed by the cows in the pasture, and loaded with a stock cage and tons of sheet glass frozen into a solid block of ice! Even has a bullet hole in the driver's rear quarter.

Just a LITTLE bit of work later (about a year!):

I gave it a new 350 with World heads (big valves and 9.2:1 compression) and added a twin-stick NP205 with a TH400 adapter. I had it's TH400 rebuilt by AAMCO with a long output shaft and installed a 1200-1500 stall speed torque converter. Stole the axles/springs from my old Missouri flatbed donor giving it a Dana 44 with Warn hubs and a 5560 lb rated rear. New driveshafts front and rear. Foose Spank 17" wheels with 33" Firestones. A 22W RMS x 4 Kenwood AM/FM/CD/iPod indash and a pair of stacked 6.5 Kenwood three-ways in each cab corner provides sound.
Rewired all the burnt stuff, replaced the rusted aux tank and installed a six port fuel valve.
Now I've got about $8K into it, but I've only got bodywork and paint left to do,...most everything is rebuilt or new. It's taken about two years now,...it's been back on the road for about 12 months.
Congrats on back on the road,...I know you've got more to do 'cause that's how I do things too. On the road, but a project in the works as you drive!
