Gas Cap vs Fuel Door
Hello,
I am looking at getting a 73' to '79 shortbed. My question is what year did they go to fuel doors vs exposed gas caps. I have seen a '73 with a fuel door and then a '78 with the exposed gas caps (duel tank). Want to make sure the beds have not been replaced and some people may not even know the difference when selling a truck that has had several owners. Appreciate the info. |

Re: Gas Cap vs Fuel Door
I think 79 was the first full year for the doors, 78 having both caps and doors.
