I want to talk to someone who has run them....how hard is it on the vech...how fast do you need to go?? how much noise does it make?? ehat does it do to the road??

seems like most of the guys are going pretty quick?? I read that some guys where doing the ball thing but the spark is weak??

Re: Bag'n & Drag'n ..Blocks??

Louder than hell. Messes up the road (at least with steel, not sure on on titanium). More speed = more sparks.

That's all I know... never been around the titanium "blocks". I've always seen guys weld 1/4" plate to the bottom of the frame where it lays out.

Re: Bag'n & Drag'n ..Blocks??

Titanium throws off a more white spark.
Most the time they come with a bracket to weld to the frame, then the blocks are threaded to bolt to the bracket.
Titanium gets very hot though.

I am against the trailer ball idea as I've seen the damage to a truck that was behind a guy that broke one he got the trailer ball on the hood and windshield and it did alot of damage.

Drag your frame or don't drag at all.
Welding a 1/4" plate along the whole frame rail is ok too.

Good set of drag blocks.

I ran them on my Dakota for a while, til one ripped out of the frame from a crack in the road..

Now I'm putting them on my hitch I had custom made on the back, although I may run hitch balls, like said above, cheap, and easy/quick to find.

In short, you are not the dragging kind of person
If you have to ask & if you are worried about the road or how loud it is, then you dont need to drag

Just my 2cents

I drove a VW bug that had 3/4" of ground clearance static for a year, I scraped road reflectors off for fun & loved it

You could plate your cross member..

just be careful, and drag on good smooth roads.

Re: Bag'n & Drag'n ..Blocks??

On a side but somewhat related note, I welded 1.25x1.25 blocks to the bottom of my crossmember right next to where the lower control arms mount. It saves the truck from laying out on the control arms like most do.

I can't understand why anyone would put so much work in to a vehicle and then go out and drag it till sparks came out from under it.

You may want to check your notch occasionally for cracks, as dragging the rear puts a lot of stress on the notch
