Im a member of this club now
Well the way life has been throwing one curve after another at me I now have a use for a small pickup again. After much looking and negotiating I purchased a 2000 S10 ext cab 4X2 with a four cylinder and automatic.
pics and requests to follow lol

Re: Im a member of this club now
if you get any snow up your way you will need 6 or 7 sand bags.
these things are not too bad of a small truck. after all they are identical to what the post office uses. |

Re: Im a member of this club now
i had a 99 ranger for years and sold that a year ago that was great but i think any RWD will need sandbags or something back there to give you some traction

2.2 auto??? Don't EVEN pull out in front of anybody, that thing won't get out of it's own way. Great fuel economy though.

I bought the 5spd for that reason, plus the 5spd gets a mile or two more per gallon as well.

Looks pretty good for this time of the year. It looks like it just needs to get a bath.

Re: Im a member of this club now
we had a little show and the salt trucks were out so it kicked some salt up onto it. Its not that bad.. there are dings in the front bumper, the back of the bed and the lower valance is broken. Inside the thing is filfthy but it appears to be an old contractors truck
the jack is missing, the right side mirror is frozen so you cant adjust it, the radio loses memory, the seats need work. Its not major stuff just a whole bunch of little stuff to be annoying

Re: Im a member of this club now
ill be honest with my wife being sick the whole idea was to get rid of the large truck we werent driving and go down to one car. My little toyota was too small anyway and we went for a camry. My step daughter has informed me that she is moving out so now instead of having someone come with me when i drive in NYC to deliver papers, I need to have a commercial vehicle so i can park and let the person who was riding with me and moving the car so i didnt get tickets, sit with my wife. This truck will fit the bill and not get horrible gas mileage, plus i really do like the idea of haivng a truck around in case i need to haul something, and that happens enough here. My 82 is too big and old to be of much use and it gets worse mileage than the ford f150 we had. That is just gonna sit and get slowly restored
