Stock Spindle Question
Just curious if the dust shield on the inside of the rotor is necessary. (The part that bolts to the spindle) Seems like without it the rotor would cool faster and not get dirt and debris trapped behind the rotor. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Re: Stock Spindle Question
I think they are. My feeling is that GM wouldn't have spent all that money putting them on every truck they made if they weren't there for a reason. We all know they will cut corners when they can to save a buck (or a few million).

Re: Stock Spindle Question
I personally like to have it on there, but I don't think is required. I read in this post http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=380839&page=3 post #55 Jeff at CPP said that most big brake kits don't come with them. I don't know if it effects cooling, but I say do what you want it probably won't make that much difference on stock brakes.
