64 rear end swap
I am ready to do my rear end swap, could someone tell me the length of the panhard bar so I can order before i start. Thank You.

I thought there was an adjustable panhard bar that everyone was using. I just want to get all the parts before I start. I a using the 71 chevy rearend.

Your '64 would have originally had the longer panhard bar that went from the drivers side frame to the bracket welded to the passenger side axle tube. Since you're switching to a '71 rear end, that is designed to use the shorter panhard bar. The issue I have found with converting to the short panhard bar is that the bracket on the frame isn't at quite the proper angle for the short bar. This can be fixed by removing the rivets on the bracket, elongating the holes slightly, and reattaching to the frame with bolts.
As for which adjustable panhard bar, get the shorter of the two unless you are going to lower the rear suspension.

The 64 & 67-72 driver side frame mounts are slightly different. A standard poly style bushing that comes w/most aftermarket Panhard bars will not want to work (it will bind). As mentioned above, you can prob tweak the frame mount to work & use the correct bar for a 71-72.
