Evil Dust cover

Today I was trying to take my dust cover off to see it the TC bolts were all the way tight. I got all the screws off and the cover is loose, but how do I get it out?!?!?! The cooler lines and the y pipe is in the way! I think I need to hit something with a blunt object...

It's a tight fit for sure. Dropping the y-pipe will help. If not careful when you start putting it back on, you will bend it and it'll rub. Then you will have another noise.

I'll deal with that stubborn piece of crap tomorrow - especially since it is covered in oil

Here in the Valley, fog, fog, fog. Forcast for the next month: FOG! If I would go to the mountains it would be in the high 70's! I'm just stuck here under an overcast sky... With my rubber mallet to beat stubborn parts on my truck with. I'll be installing my new oil pressure sending unit tomorrow too.

I figures out how to get it out, but I almost punched a hole in my oil filter I had to take the shift rod off (I didn't want too - it took me forever to get it in the right place, now it is out of wack again!)
