tires size suggestions

well guys i finally got some wheels on the way, 20 by 8.5 front and 22 by 9 rear coys. i have a 5,4 static drop on the truck right now just wondering what is the tallest sidewall height and section width i can get away with front and rear with such a minimal drop. i may bag it later on down the road just not right now.
2" drop springs fr, 3" drop spindles

Why buy super tall tires if your thinking about bagging it? Even if you can't afford to bag it now, your probaly going to be happier if you get lower profile tires and drop it a bit more if needed.

Re: tires size suggestions

I am running 255-40-20 on my 20x8.5 front wheels. I was running them with a 5" static drop before i went with bags and they looked good. I bagged my truck within a year so I'm glad I didn't go with bigger tires.

Re: tires size suggestions

good point i just dont want it to have alot of space between the top of the tires and the fenderwell lip, that looks kinda cheesy in my opinion.

Re: tires size suggestions

If you go with a 255/40/20 or a 245/40/20 up front you might need a bit more drop, but I would give it a try. You might need to trim half a coil up front, but it doesn't sound like it.

sure do, but I had to remove the stock tubs and trim around the fenderwell area where the tubs meet the side of the bed.

Re: tires size suggestions

The 22x9 Coys look good with a 265/35-22 or 285/35-22 tire.
