Educate me on lowering...

I am not well versed on lowering a truck and would like some advise. I have been on a couple of web sites explaining different ways as in coils, drop spindles, 2x4 drop etc. What works the best and what do I need to look for? I would like to keep my stock 6 bolt pattern and not wanting to spend more then I paid for the truck.
Thanks, hb32

Cheapest way is to cut the coils. Same as lowered coils but cheaper way of doing it. Best way is probably spindles in the front.

Not the same as lowered coils. You will get a much better ride with correctly engineered drop springs.

Re: Educate me on lowering...

Maybe. I have a friend who bought lowered coils for his 63 and it rides just the same as my brothers 66 with cut coils. If you want it to be Kosher, buy the lowered coils, if you want to save money just cut them.

A 2x4 drop is very easy and inexpensive using lowered springs front and rear.
