66 track bar adjustment???
Hello, my question is this, I am going to lower my truck rear end by 4" so I was planning on buying an adjustable track bar but my question is this, how do you know how much to adjust it? Does it have to have so much play or none at all? or will you have to first adjust the rear end then place the bar? thank you in advance for your answer, I am a novice and don’t want to make a mistake that's going to cost me.
thank's |

Re: 66 track bar adjustment???
Set the truck @ ride height w/the rear tires centered relative to the frame. Measure the distance between the housing mount & the frame mount to get the length you'll need.
The idea is to get the rear as centered as possible @ ride height.

Re: 66 track bar adjustment???
IMO 4'' isnt very much and you mite not have any issues. However, the upgrade wont hurt. Have fun laying under the truck trying to push the axle and holding the frame while getting the 'right' length to match up to the mounts.
.....wonder why I know???

Re: 66 track bar adjustment???
I have heard that you need to get the track bar as close to parallel to the ground as possible at ride height.
