Intresting stuff while junkyard shopping

Me and a buddy of mine went to almost every junkyard we could find today. (We're trying to find a truck he can start playing with) Lots of walking and sticker bushes But we found a few cool things and some depressing sights but had a fun day looking at everything. Here is just some of what we found...

Wow nice pickings. If you go back, I'd be interested in the seatbelts from the 63 Chevrolet truck. When you flip the buckle on it's back, it should read Irving Airchute Co. Model#5000. Also the aluminum tail light bezels from the Suburban.

Man, if there was a place like that near me I would be snatching up all the old grilles, hoods and GMC parts that they just don't make replacement parts for. Not to hoard them, just so they could be used again and not left to rot or get destroyed by someone who uses a sawzall to remove a headlight.

anytime an old truck shows up, it's stripped to nothing in about a day.

Re: Intresting stuff while junkyard shopping

I need that burb! Think they'll let it go for it's weight in scrap?
Seriously, where is it? I'd sure be interested in getting it. I need the roof/glass section of one; can be soft and mushy (worthless) everywhere else.

Well, the burb actually belongs to us. We picked it up a bit ago to see if it might be easier to use part of the roof/body for my cab extension. It's actually in decent shape and we talked ourselves out of cutting it up for what we are trying to do. I think we're going to try and sell it to somebody that can fix it up right.

Glad to hear it's worth NOT cutting up. How much do you want for it?
