I had the loops on mine at one time. Forgot the name right off hand but they were not smooth and they make several different styles. I like the Kodiaks but are quiet pricey and they dont have an application for our trucks. If you arent familar with them, they are electric and hide themselves when the doors are closed. I think they can be made to work on our trucks.

I fabricated some running boards so my wife could get in mine easier. I like the nerf bars, but wanted something to help protect the paint.

mudder i know the steps your talking about, pretty cool,my main prolblem it the blazers rocker boxes (whats left of them) in the way.. i don`t want to drill into the body,so i`m looking for a pretty weird setup. thanks you guys for posting, you both have sweet trucks. hey we all have something in common thou, all our rigs are red.. konajoe..i`m going right now to check out the links, thanks

Carrs are the ones I had on my truck and they were the chaper ones. More of a loop type. The kodiaks may not work with the rocker boxes now that I think about it.

I haven't installed them yet but a friend of mine gave me a set like the Hoop II on the Carr web site. They have a flat mount so you can mount them directly to the Rocker Box.
