Best bolt on exhaust system?

Did some searching and everything I find is out of my price range. Anyone got a good lead on a bolt on dual exhaust system for a SWB 4x4?

I am in the middle of doing the pypes system. I have long tube headers and it is going well so far, but they don't include enough clamps and need to include two 12" extensions. The x-pipe and Street Pro mufflers sound badass though!!

I bought the LMC kit when it was a few bucks cheaper. Like cdowns says everything is in the box - almost. Since my truck wasn't a factory dual truck, I had to get a generic frame mount for the side the factory single frame didn't have a mount for. Other than that one hanger, it was all there.

Sound wise I like it. Nice and quiet.

Re: Best bolt on exhaust system?

I did my LWB 2wd for less then $300 I got new headers, dual glasspacks, hangers, clamps, pipe, gaskets

Headers and Glasspacks - Summitracing.com

Hangers, Clamps, and pipe from autozone,

It sounds amazing and it took me and a freind bout 5 hours but most of the time was just getting the 40 yr old one off.

Re: Best bolt on exhaust system?

If you have a good muffler shop near by its worth getting a quote. The guy that has done all of my trucks does really nice work and blows the bolt on prices outta the water. It all depends on the shop though. But in this economy, muffler shops are beggin for work, so they might throw you a deal.

Do most kits mount to just the frame? I'm wanting to hang mine with the body off. The LMC one looks like a deal, how's the sound? Not wanting loud but want to somewhat hear it.

Re: Best bolt on exhaust system?

The cheapest way is to bend some coat hangar, take it to a good muffler shop, have them bend pipe and weld it yourself...

my local shop (good shop) quoted $350 with basic glasspack mufflers...
