Hello and Third Brake Light
Just wanted to introduce myself and show you all the third brake light I installed recently on my '82 C10. My truck didn't have a cargo light, but I found one at the local pick-n-pull. I drilled a hole in the top of the cab, fed wired through and down the inside corner and then over to the brake light switch.
I used some automotive spray paint to lightly paint the cargo light lens red and sealed the whole thing to the truck with some black RTV. It works really well and I like the way it looks! More info about the truck in my Welcome post. |

Re: Hello and Third Brake Light
Well... it's my daily driver - about 15 miles to work and back. So I've got to keep it running first off!
Secondly, I'd sure like to have some fun with it performance-wise without hurting gas mileage too much. It's underpowered for some reason and it's not just that it's a 305. I'm not really into lifting or lowering it. I like the stock look, but just want it to be a reliable work horse for now. It does leak a little oil - not sure where it's coming from yet. So far it doesn't smoke or smell, so that's good. |
