2wd Front suspension removal

Is it possible to just unbolt this and remove it from the frame. It "looks" like that would be the case but figured id ask before losing a finger to a 500mph shooting spring or A-arm.

Re: 2wd Front suspension removal

If i remember correctly there are 14 bolts that connect the front suspension to the frame. remove the bolts, and the the front suspension will come out as one unit.

Re: 2wd Front suspension removal

Yes you can simply unbolt the complete frint suspension as one unit, assuming it's a 63-66. There are 3 bolts through the bottom frame rail and 4 bolts through the side on each side. I've also removed/installed stock and dropped coils w/o the use of a spring compressor. If you loosen all the bolts before you remove them it takes 99% of the tension off the coil. Just go slow and you're good to go.
