Re: laying frame with PB trailing arms
In the 1st two pics, is that bar that runs from arm to arm the lower shock mount? If so, I really like that idea.

Yes that the lower shock bar came from Nate as part of the kit. I will have pics of the upper bar sometime next week.

Re: laying frame with PB trailing arms
Yes sir this will allow it to lay frame, I'm going to run 24" all around and this notch can lay up to a32" tall tire mine will be around 31 1/2. Unfortunately I can only work on the truck a cupple days a week so progress might be slow. I will keep posting pics and questions Im sure I will need help.

Re: laying frame with PB trailing arms
ok guys here an update. ive been working fitting the pb stepnotch, my friend/welder wanted a "better fit and more welding surface so we dicided to box a small section around the notch. we used 3/16 plate and i got to use a plsma cutter for the first time here are some pics of the plates in, they will be fully welded along with the notch by next week.we will also start fitting the bag brackets and shock bar next week.

Not sure about the notch, that would be a question for Nate. My truck was set up for those wheels/tires and to lay frame, aired out, with a 5" ride height. I just posted those pics up to keep you motivated, dont call in sick!! |

Re: laying frame with PB trailing arms
The bodydrop mounts for the cab make alot of since, are simple, and will make dropping the cab nice. Im just waiting to see how Nate aligns the bumper and what he does about the bed.

Re: laying frame with PB trailing arms
I can't answer on it too much because I have not seen my truck in 4 months in person, but I am sure the kit will work flawlessly and consist of a pile of mounts brackets and bolts and maybe some other surprises.....................

Re: laying frame with PB trailing arms
yes sir if u look at he last pic u can see the pb sway bar and the boxes holding my DM and chromoly PB arms im have to weld up the front of the frame. the p/o started a Z on it and im going to finish it. the plan is to run 24" wheels all around.
as for the track bar we have intalled a panhard bar (pics soon). i tried using a delux trac bar from early classics but it didnt work right. ended up making one from chromoly tubing and a cupple heim joints. Last edited by layingC10nK5; 05-23-2010 at 04:36 PM. |
