Re: 1993 chevy burban 4x4
The transmission won't work since it is a 4wd style. You will need to find a 4L60E that is a 2wd version if you want to retain the EFI. To use the EFI from the '93 Suburban, you will need all the engine and trans wiring harness as well as the ECM to control it all, plus an EFI fuel pump. This conversion can be overwhelming for someone that doesn't have a lot of mechanical/electronics experience as it requires that all the sensors be in place and possibly a modified EPROM for the ECM. You could always convert the engine to a carburator and bolt up a TH350 or a 700R4.

Re: 1993 chevy burban 4x4
I could be wrong, but I believe that transmission would be the 4L60E, which is the electronic version of the 700R4. If so it will need the computer to operate or a aftermarket standalone controller ($1000.00-$1200.00). Either way you can't just bolt on the 2wd tailshaft housing, you need to change the output shaft as well. That requires a complete disassembly of the transmission.
