Re: carb spacers
They can. But bolting one on and walking away is not how you do it. What intake you are running/ engine combo needs to be considered. Go to Automedia.com they explain it generally pretty well.

Re: carb spacers
carb spacers might give you a few horses but they mainly just move your power curve higher or lower in the rpm range.. if u use a four hole spacer, it would give you better low end torque, which is what i have and what is what you want in a full sized truck.. an open spacer will give you more plentum volume and better high rpm horsepower.. all u need is longer studs and new gaskets.. id get a 1 or 2 inch 4 hole and slap it on. youl feel a diferance.. i did

Re: carb spacers
the RPM means for higher rpm range..1,500-6,500 the 305 is just not a high rev'er you need just a regular performer intake idle to 5,500 rpm

Re: carb spacers
usually the rule of thumb is you can do 2 cfm per cubic inch, so a 600 is fine on a 305 just tune it right for the weather. I find myself adjusting my idle circuits everytime the temperature makes a drastic change.

Re: carb spacers
if you put a 4 hole spacer it will help ur low end torque and youll feel it. i have a 305 headed 350 with a performer eps intake which is about the same motor ugot and i noticed a differance for sure
