A local guy has a running one cheap, is most of this usable ( motor/tranny/subframe,front suspension )

Would it be 8 lug cause it's a one ton ( sorry about that stupid question ) and if so can you put 5 lug rotors on it.

Yes a 1 ton will have 8 lug hubs whether it is a single wheel or dual wheel 1 ton. No you can't just put 5 lug rotors on those spindles. The engine and trans will fit without issues, as well as the power steering and the rest of the braking system. You could possibly use those lower control arms (not positive on the 1 tons) along with some other '88 and later parts and have 6 lug disc brakes. If the truck is affordable and runs and drives, I would go for it.
