speedometer calibration
I've got an 86 GMC 3/4 ton. It originally came with 7.50x16 tires (I think). I am currently running 245x75 tires, which are a lot shorter. Is there any way of calibrating my speedometer to compensate for the shorter tires?

old_truck1969,
Go to the TCI web page below. http://www.tciauto.com/tech_info/speedo_gears.htm They give you all the gear info you need. Better yet try this web page. http://www.chevytalk.com/tech/transm...calibrate.html ------------------ Gerardo 1983 Custom Truck TX Plates: "BAD BOW" [URL=http://www.geocities.com/abetterchemist/]http://www.geocities.com/abetterchemist/</A> [This message has been edited by gchemist (edited 04-13-2001).] |
