My 62 GMC Suburban is hard to fill with fuel
My 62 GMC Suburban is hard to fill with fuel, seems to not vent well when putting gas in it. Is it normal? Or do I have a problem?
Thanks, Tim |

Re: My 62 GMC Suburban is hard to fill with fuel
It sounds like you have a problem. Check to see if the vent tube/line is plugged. I have no problem whatsoever filling my '66 Suburban.

Re: My 62 GMC Suburban is hard to fill with fuel
Tim:
Sorry to hear you are having trouble with the '62. I installed the tank, along with new soft lines from the filler neck, as well as, the vent line. With the tank empty, you may be able to put compressed air into the vent line and a vacuum on the filler neck, to evacuate any blockage. Otherwise, to be sure, you may have to drop the tank, to make sure there is no blockage. |
