79 Big 10 rebuild
Finally got started with the tear down on the 79. Hopefully in the next few weeks I can get it back together and on the road. Keep in mind that this will be a work truck first and for most - so everything will not be perfect. I just need it to not fall apart when loaded LOL.
Anyhow here it is at 5:22 pm today. This is the only truck I have out of all mine that has a solid battery box. At 6:31 and at 6:49 I loved how tight the exhaust manifold is I also got the bed yanked off and loaded teh truck up on a trailer for a trip to the coin wash tomorrow. Once I get 31 years of gunk off the engine I will see what I have to do from there. I am going to put a new gasket set on the engine before I get it on the road.

Re: 79 Big 10 rebuild
Took it down to the local car wash today and blasted 31 years of gunk off of it. I was pleased with the results. I was going to pull the engine out but I had to fix my gantry crane so I didnt have time to pull it before it was too dark. Any how here are the washed up pics.
Vehicle inspection official checking out the wash job.

Not sure why Photobucket is making the pics so huge lately. they are either tiny or huge. Oh well
