best method to IFS 47-54 Pickup??
I'm sure this has been covered here but I am running short on time this morning and I'm just trying to do a favor for my dad. He is wondering which is the best method for installing IFS on his '51 pickup. He just bought a banged up '73 Chevy nova with a running six and he's been talking about just putting the subframe with engine and everything in his truck but he's also wondering if he should go the crossmember/Mustang II route like he did with his '50 Coupe. Any answers or links to a thread where this has been covered would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you.

If your not going to clip it with the Nova don't buy a cheaply made crossmember I would invest in the one from Scott's it's designed for a truck not a fiberglass streetrod.

Re: best method to IFS 47-54 Pickup??
'Best' always implies a context. How is he going to use the truck? What is best for most everyone else may not be what is best for your dad.
An option not yet mentioned is Scott Danforth's crossmember that mounts g-body/s-10 suspension components. Its another system designed for these trucks instead of simpy adapted from a car. The front suspension is too big a component of how fun a truck is to drive to make a snap decision.
