Latest from Porterbuilt
Here’s some spy pics of our latest product… rear inner cab panels for the 67-72 c10. These panels are the perfect solution to clean up the rear cab section after deleting the factory gas tank. It’s a 3 piece system, and we will be posting up some more pics shortly.Let us know what you guys think! And of course, questions are always welcome.

Wow... didn't know I needed it, but now I want one!
![]() Thinking out loud - Maybe the center piece could be hinged somehow to open from the top? Would make a good place to store crap...

Looks good! I just moved my tank and have been pondering what to do with that space (besides putting speakers back there).

Re: Latest from Porterbuilt
Thanks for all the ineterest and questions guys! The panel system is deigned in three pieces so it can be easily removed. The main center section's lower portion attaches using the four factory tank mounting bosses down on the floor. The top side of the panel will attach using provided bracketry that will screw into the bottom side of the factory panel below the window; and some heavy duty "hook and loop" (industrial velcro) will hold the upper part of the center panel against the said bracket, securing the panel in place. The edges of the center section have a small step bead roll that creates a nice mounting surface for the two side panels to attach and sit flush. It looks like the most secure method of joining the side pieces to the center panel will be with some small buttonheads and some nutserts. I will make this an option, as we have already sold a kit where the buyer didn't want to have the bolt heads showing and will be using some more "hook and loop" to mate the three sections. The outer panels will come a little long and will need some slight trimming for a precise fitment. I will post up some more pics of the panels being installed. We are taking orders, and the introductory price is $400.

That would be great to hide the electrical controls for a full slide rear electric window. HMMMMMMMM, now were cooking with gas.

Re: Latest from Porterbuilt
Nice work and great idea. Here is the one I have in my 70 with the tank behind it. For the top I used a piece similar to the piece that holds the top of the door panels so there are no visible screws and matches the door. Also it tucks around and under the rubber weather striping for the door so no visible mounting. I also had ribs put in the center section to match the doors. The bowtie was not my idea but kept it anyway. I have the factory buckets and looks factory. You are right about making it in 3 pieces. I tried one but it was too big. Good luck and hope some of my ideas can help.

Re: Latest from Porterbuilt
Definitely a nice touch with those buckets! The edges of our side panels tuck in under the door weatherstripping just as you have mentioned yours does. I like how clean it looks all painted to match the ineterior... the bowtie works well with the look also.

Re: Latest from Porterbuilt
We have sold about a dozen of these. They are a nice piece, but do require a little bit of extra work to fit perfectly... not all cabs were put together with the exact tolerances. A little trimming and tweaking may be required for a perfect fit. We are running a special of $249 right now on the panels.
