Door question

When I bought my truck the passenger door was not on the truck. I put it on tonight and on the top bracket for the hinge in the door the middle bolt has nothing to grab on too it looks like the nut was broken off at some point. Can I get away without fixing it? To fix it looks like it is going to be a lot of work.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Re: Door question

I had the same problem on one of my doors. Here's how I fixed it, starts at post #81 on this page.

I was going through the same dilema. It took me a while to figure I could do it that way.
